More wet weather on the way for southern Manitoba on Monday.
A low pressure system tracking northward out of the Dakota’s will bring widespread rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm to areas of southern Manitoba that are currently dealing with saturated soils and flooding concerns. Rain will begin on Monday morning and taper off on Monday evening. There is also the potential for embedded thunderstorms so precipitation amounts could be locally higher.
The unsettled weather will continue through much of the week, with multiple chances for showers, although much less widespread in nature than the system on Monday.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to MBstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #MBStorm.
