On July 17, 2022, at approximately 11:02 am, Brandon police received a report of counterfeit money being used to pay a cab fare. Police say two men were transported by the taxi, and then allegedly tried to pay their fare with a counterfeit $100 bill. Police identified and located a 22-year-old male suspect. He was arrested and released to appear in court on charges of Fraud Transportation and Use Counterfeit Money.

On July 17, 2022, at approximately 2:45 pm, police responded to a business in the 800 block of 18th Street for report of an assault. Police say their investigation revealed the suspect was attempting a theft of merchandise when an employee confronted him. The employee was then reportedly assaulted by the suspect as he attempted to flee the store. A 28-year-old man was located at the scene and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on a charge of Robbery with Violence.

On July 17, 2022, a 22-year-old male was located in Winnipeg and arrested on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court in Brandon. He was lodged to appear in court today.
On July 18, 2022, at approximately 5:33 am, police responded to the 200 block of 9th Street for report of a disturbance. A 41-year-old male was located and found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Impaired Driving. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 17, 2022, at approximately 9:42 pm, Brandon police responded to the 900 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of a fight in progress. Officers say that two males were engaged in a physical altercation when witnesses reportedly observed one of the males brandish an axe. A 45-year-old suspect was located in the area. Police say he was in possession of an axe. He was arrested and released to appear in court September 1, 2022, on a charge of Possession of a Weapon.
