On November 7, 2023, at approximately 1:05 am, Bloodvein RCMP responded to a report of shots fired outside a residence on Bloodvein First Nation.
It was reported that a known male showed up outside a residence, fired shots, and fled.
The male suspect then went to a second residence and more shots were fired.
No one was physically injured in either incident.
Officers immediately attended and made extensive patrols in the community but did not locate the suspect.
A number of RCMP resources have been deployed to the area including the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, and are actively searching for the suspect.
The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Byron Duck. He is described as 5’9”, 150 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.
He is currently WANTED on a Canada wide warrant for being Unlawfully at Large (violating conditions of release).
