Environment Canada has issued a Snowfall Warning for Westman including the City of Brandon.
Total amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected.
A low pressure system has brought heavy snow to southwestern and central Manitoba.
Snowfall accumulations will vary as temperatures are near the freezing mark and there may be some melting. Locally higher snowfall amounts are expected over the Manitoba Parklands.
The heavy snow will taper off on Friday afternoon.
Strong northerly winds gusting to 60 or 70 km/h will likely create reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Cooler, more seasonal temperatures will follow in the wake of this system.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
