-The Brandon Wheat Kings host the Prince Albert Raiders tonight at Westoba Place. Last weekend – the Raiders beat the Wheat Kings 5-2. Saturday night, the Wheat Kings welcome the Eastern Conference leading Saskatoon Blades.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings open the playoffs tonight against the East-Man Selects at J&G Homes Arena.
-The Winnipeg Jets 4 game winning streak ended last night with a 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars. Vladislav Namestnikov scored the lone goal for Winnipeg. The Jets are in Carolina on Saturday morning at 11:30 against the Hurricanes.
-and in Major League Baseball spring training – the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-0 on Thursday. The Jays play the Yankees today, the Braves on Saturday – and the Red Sox on Sunday.
