-The Brandon Wheat Kings begin a five-game road swing tonight in Medicine Hat against the Tigers. Brandon currently sits in 6th place in the WHL Eastern Conference with 64 points. The Tigers, in third, have already clinched a playoff spot.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings can wrap-up their quarterfinal playoff series with a win over the Eastman Selects tonight at J&G Homes Arena. The Wheat Kings lead the best-of-five series 2-games-to-none.
-In the NHL last night – the Boston Bruins beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 – and the Seattle Kraken doubled the Calgary Flames 4-2. Tonight – the Kraken visit the Winnipeg Jets who are riding a two-game winning streak.
-and at the Brier in Regina – Manitoba’s Reid Carruthers plays Catlin Schneider of B-C in the first draw this morning. Carruthers is 3-and-0 atop Pool A. Manitoba’s Matt Dunstone is also in action against James Gratton of New Brunswick. Dunstone is 2-and-1 and in 4th in Pool A.
