-Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves as the Winnipeg Jets shutout the Washington Capitals 3-0 on Monday. It was his 4th shutout of the season and 36th of his career. Neal Pionk, Alex Iafallo and Kyle Connor scored for Winnipeg who’ll host the Nashville Predators on Wednesday.
-The Brandon Wheat Kings are in Saskatoon tonight against the Blades. Brandon is coming off a 6-3 loss to the Swift Current Broncos last Saturday.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings open the semi-finals tonight against the Pembina Valley Hawks at J&G Homes Arena.
-and in pre-season baseball – the Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-2. Toronto takes on the New York Yankees today in Dunedin, Florida.
