-Mark Scheifele scored three goals and Connor Hellebuyck made 38 saves as the Winnipeg Jets beat the New York Rangers 4-2 last night. It was also the Jets third win in-a-row. Winnipeg is in New Jersey against the Devils Thursday night.
-The Brandon Wheat Kings regular season wraps-up this week before their playoff run gets underway. The Wheat Kings host the Moose Jaw Warriors Thursday night before travelling to Regina on Friday to take on the Pats.
-Rachel Homan’s Team Canada picked up two more wins Tuesday to remain unbeaten at the world women’s curling championship – they’re now 6-and-0. They edged Italy 8-7 and beat Switzerland 8-5. Canada plays Japan (2-and-4) and Turkey (1-and-6) today. The top six teams at the end of round-robin play Friday advance to the weekend playoffs.
