-The Brandon Wheat Kings are in Regina tonight against the Pats. Last night, the Wheat Kings posted a 5-3 comeback win over the Warriors.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings play the Winnipeg Wild in Game One of the League Championship tonight at J&G Homes Arena. Game 2 goes Sunday in Winnipeg.
-The Virden Oil Capitals host the Neepawa Titans tonight in Game One of their best-of-seven MJHL West Division semifinal. Virden finished 1st in the West – while Neepawa was 4th.
-The Winnipeg Jets are back in action Saturday when they visit the New York Islanders. Thursday night, the New Jersey Devils scored three unanswered 3rd period goals in a 4-1 win over Winnipeg. The loss snapped the Jets 3-game winning streak. Winnipeg will wrap-up their road trip in Washington on Sunday.
-and Canada has two more round-robin games left at the world women’s curling championship. They play Scotland and South Korea today. Canada is 10-and-0 and has already qualified for the playoffs. Yesterday, Rachel Homan’s rink beat Estonia 9-4 and New Zealand 9-2.
