There could be delays along Highways 10 and 110 in Brandon, beginning sometime after midnight on Thursday to around 6:00 am, as a 175-foot vessel, made in Edmonton, is being shipped to Koch Fertilizer.
The Brandon Sun reports “the vessel and its transport team will arrive in Brandon heading north on Highway 10, turning right onto Highway 110 and then left onto 17th Street East. Once the vessel crosses Richmond Avenue, traffic on Douglas Street will be prevented from turning onto 17th Street East until it has arrived at the plant.”
Koch Fertilizer plant manager Rodi Sveistrup said in a release, “Being a good neighbour and community partner is important to us. We focused on scheduling the transport with the least inconvenience to the community and appreciate everyone’s patience. We anticipate during the short duration that travel will be restricted along the route.”
The vessel will be accompanied by a police escort and a pilot team.
