-The Winnipeg Jets are in Nashville against the Predators tonight. The Jets have 5 more games left in the regular season. Winnipeg is seven points back of the Central Division leading Dallas Stars, and two points behind second place Colorado.
-The Manitoba Junior Hockey League playoffs continue tonight with the Winkler Flyers at home to the Virden Oil Capitals. The best-of-seven semifinal series is tied at one. The other series continues Wednesday with the OCN Blizzard at home to the Steinbach Pistons also tied at one.
-The Toronto Blue Jays won their home-opener beating the Seattle Mariners 5-2. The Jays improved to 5-and-6.
-Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones plays her final team event this week at the Grand Slam of Curling’s Princess Auto Players’ Championship in Toronto. She plays Sweden and Italy today. Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson, Kaitlyn Lawes, Reid Carruthers and Matt Dunstone are also competing. World champions Rachel Homan and Niklas Edin are also in the 24-team field.
