Theft Under $5000
On April 18th at 0800 am, Brandon police were called to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of two females shoplifting. Police say the pair were arrested in the area, and they allegedly had a total of $178 in merchandise from the business which was returned. A 37-year-old female and an 18-year-old female were arrested for theft under $5000 and released for court on June 27th, 2024.
Breach of Probation and Theft Under $5000
On April 18th at 11:16 am, a business in the 1400 block of 1st Street North reported a male was in the store shoplifting. The male allegedly stole a sweatshirt and a backpack and left the store. Police say he was also under an order not to be in the business. A 26-year-old male was arrested for theft under $5000 and breach of probation. Police say the accused had just been released from custody a few hours earlier for theft from another business. He was held for court on April 19th, 2024.
Assault
On April 18th at 2:41 pm, Brandon police received a call from an employee of a business in the 100 block of 7th Street reporting a male had just assaulted an employee. A 29-year-old male was arrested. Police say the suspect had been banned from the business, and when he was asked to leave by a male security guard, he reportedly punched the guard in the face. The accused had a list of outstanding charges, so he was held for court on April 19th, 2024.
Theft Under $5000
On April 18th at 7:20 pm, staff from a business in the 100 block of 18th Street called to report an unwanted female on the premises who was refusing to leave. A 32-year-old female was arrested. Police say she also matched the description of a shoplifter from a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street a few hours earlier. Police say the accused has allegedly been involved in numerous thefts in a short period of time and was held for court on April 19th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On April 18th at 10:30 pm, police conducted a pedestrian check in the 100 block of 4th Street. A 36-year-old male was arrested. Police say he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was held for court on April 19th, 2024.
