UPDATE: A 4-year-old Brandon boy, who was seriously injured after a traffic collision this week, has died.
Witnesses told police he was hurt after running onto Victoria Avenue from a parking lot and colliding with a trailer being towed by a truck.
Police say the child died from his injuries late Tuesday night at Winnipeg’s Children’s Hospital.

On April 22nd at 3:28 pm, Police were called to a child versus vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue.
Several witnesses advised police that a four-year-old male child ran from a business parking lot on the north side of Victoria Avenue. The child ran into the side of a trailer that was being towed by a half ton truck. The truck was westbound.
The child was transported to Brandon Regional Health Center, and then STARS transported the child to the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital in serious condition.
Police say the driver of the truck was co-operative, and that they didn’t expect charges to be laid.
