The Manitoba Real Estate Association Inc. (MREA) has announced Sandy Donald as its 2023-24 MREA President.
With 27 years of experience as a realtor since obtaining his license in Manitoba back in October 1996, Sandy Donald’s journey in the real estate world has been enriching. “Growing up with a family rooted in agriculture, the transition to real estate felt natural for me. My family’s relocation from Scotland to pursue farming opportunities in Manitoba paved the way for my career,“ said Donald.
Initially drawn to the agricultural sector, Sandy chose a career in farm sales management, following in his father’s footsteps. Over time, economic shifts led him to diversify into residential real estate. Today, he serves as an Associate Broker at RLP Martin Liberty, where he remains steadfast in his commitment to providing exceptional service across Western Manitoba.
What truly fuels his passion for this industry is the people—the relationships forged and the satisfaction of connecting the right individual with their perfect home, akin to a farmer surveying a pristine field. “I enjoy navigating complex transactions, like orchestrating deals for large dairy farms, where every success is a testament to dedication and expertise,” noted Donald.
Donald’s involvement in professional associations, including his current role as President of the Manitoba Real Estate Association and as the President of Brandon Area Realtors in 2013, underscores his dedication to giving back to the real estate community. Sandy’s commitment to upholding his profession is unwavering, whether through governance, mentoring, or advocating for the industry’s advancement.
Beyond real estate, Sandy finds fulfillment in the sport of coaching Rugby and is currently serving as Secretary for Rugby Canada. “Family is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve been married 31 years, and we have three children who bring joy to our life.”
Sandy Donald will work with 12 other officers and directors.
