Arrest Warrants
-On May 28th at 09:45 am, a female turned herself in to the Brandon Police Service as she was aware she had an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with her undertaking. The 42-year-old female was arrested and released for court on August 12th, 2024.
-On May 28th at 12:15 pm, Brandon police conducted a pedestrian check in the 200 block of Rosser Avenue. A 34-year-old male was arrested as police say he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was held for court on May 29th ,2024.
Theft Under $5000 calls
-On May 28th at 12:41 pm, police received call that a male had walked out of a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue with $100 worth of meat. Police say a 49-year-old male was located northbound on 10th Street in possession of the meat. He was arrested and released for court on August 15th, 2024.
-On May 28th, Branon police arrested an 18-year-old female for theft under $5000. On May 19th at 2:30 pm, the female had allegedly stolen $200 worth of cosmetics from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The incident was captured on video surveillance and the accused was identified. She was released for court on July 22nd, 2024.
-On May 28th at 3:20 pm, police received a call that a male had stolen $200 worth of meat from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Police say a 39-year-old male was arrested near 9th and Louise still in possession of the stolen goods. He was later released for court on June 15th, 2024. Police say there was a female also present and she was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing attend for fingerprints. A 34-year-old female was arrested, and her fingerprints were obtained and then she was release for court on August 1st, 2024.
Beak and Enter
On May 28th at 2:47 pm, a resident on Clark Drive reported their garage had been entered overnight. Suspects stole a White Giant Mountain bike with saddle bags. Breach of Peace calls
-On May 28th at 4:09 pm, Brandon police were called to a business in the Corral Center for a female causing a disturbance by yelling and throwing items around. Officers say a 25-year-old intoxicated female was arrested and will be released in the morning.
-On May 28th at 6:11 pm, police received a call of a disturbance at a business in the 1800 block of 1st Street. Police say a male was walking around the parking lot with a shower pole knocking on doors. Officers reportedly arrested an intoxicated 21-year-old male who will be released in the morning.
Domestic Assault
On May 28th at 4:16 pm, Brandon police were advised a male had assaulted a female at a residence in the 2500 block of McDonald Avenue. A 37-year-old male was arrested for assault and breaking his no contact order by attending to the victim’s residence. He was held for court on May 29th 2024.
Impaired driver in a stolen vehicle
On May 29th at 02:04 am, police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated, and officers say the vehicle came to a stop, but then slowly reversed into the police car. No serious damage occurred. Police say an intoxicated 18-year-old female was arrested, who was then taken to the hospital where blood samples were obtained. Police also say the vehicle she had been operating was later determined to be stolen, and the accused was held for court on May 29th. 2024.
