Brandon Salutes and the City of Brandon will honour the 25th anniversary of the commissioning of the HMCS Brandon a flag-raising ceremony at Brandon City Hall, Wednesday, June 5th at 1:30pm. The City will raise the Royal Canadian Navy ensign to recognize the ship’s years of service to Canada.
The HMCS Brandon is the namesake ship of the City of Brandon in current service with the Royal Canadian Navy.
The ship is based at CFB Esquimalt (BC) and was commissioned into service June 5, 1999.
