On June 13th at 9:11am police were called to a disturbance in the 500 block Braecrest Drive. A female reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her by striking her in the eye. The 25 year old male was found to have an outstanding Winnipeg warrant for breach of probation. He was arrested and later released with a court date of July 29, 2024 (Brandon) and August 6, 2024 (Winnipeg).
Arrest Warrant
On June 12th at 11:30am police attended a residence in the 1200 block of College Avenue where they arrested a 25 year old male for an outstanding Portage La Prairie arrest warrant. He was held overnight for court on June 14, 2024.
Domestic Assault
On June 12th police were called to a disturbance in the 1100 block of 18th Street. Police say video surveillance showed a 34 year old male had assaulted a female prior to police arrival. During the altercation the female suffered a seizure. The female was taken to Brandon hospital and the male was arrested and later released with a future court date of July 29, 2024.
Impaired Driver
On June 12th at 3:55pm police were informed of a drunk driver at a business off of #1 highway. A witness told police the impaired driver had driven into the building causing minor damage. Police say the driver reportedly stumbled around the establishment smelling of alcohol, and became argumentative when asked to prepay for his fuel. The suspect left prior to police arrival. Upon police locating the suspect, officers say he tried to speed away but became trapped at a red light between vehicles. An intoxicated 33 year old male was arrested and held in custody for court on June 14th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On June 12th at 8:13pm police were called to a disturbance in the 400 block of 9th Street. Officers say two males were having a fight. A 32 year old male involved in the altercation reportedly had outstanding warrants for uttering threats and failure to attend court. The male was arrested and held for court on June 14th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On June 14th at 3:27am police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of Braecrest Drive. Police say two intoxicated males were found fighting. A 20 year old male and an 18 year old male were arrested and held in custody overnight to prevent further disturbance. They will be released in the morning.
Possession & Use of Stole Credit Cards
On June 13th police conducted a pedestrian check on a 26 year old male in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue. They had identified him as a suspect for a report of a stolen wallet on June 7th, 2024. Upon the check, Officers say he was in possession of multiple prepaid Visa cards as well as the stolen cards. He is on conditions not to possess any financial or identification documents in any name other than his own. He was arrested and held for court on June 14, 2024.
