Warrant
On the morning of 2024-06-23, Brandon police attended to an address on Buttercup Bay to conduct a warrant check for a 36-year-old male. The individual was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-06-24.
Breach of Peace
On the afternoon of 2024-06-23, police attended to a report of a disturbance at a health facility located in the 0 hundred block of 7th Street. A 34-year-old male was determined to be the cause of the problem and to prevent a continuation of public disruptions, he was lodged at BPS until morning.
Break and Enter
On the afternoon of 2024-06-23, police attended to a vacant business in the 0 hundred block of 9th Street, as a community volunteer had made a report of a suspicious male within the building. Police located a 30-year-old male that was intoxicated by drug and subsequently lodged at BPS to appear in court 2024-06-24 for the charge of Break and Enter.
Disorderly Conduct
On the evening of 2024-06-23, police attended to a report of a disturbance at an establishment in the 1000 block of 18th Street. A 36-year-old male was found to be intoxicated by drugs and alcohol while confronting another patron. The individual was lodged at BPS until sober, and will be issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Disorderly Conduct in or near a Licensed Premises.
Assault with a Weapon
On the evening of 2024-06-15, police responded to the 200 block of Mcdiarmid Drive as a 51-year-old male victim reported that he was confronted by another male that was known to him. During the incident, the victim received two puncture wounds to the side of his neck due to being struck with a needle. Pre-cautionary medical treatment was received by the victim, and on 2024-06-23, the accused was located by police at his residence. The 45-year-old male suspect has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-06-25 for the charge of Assault with a Weapon.
Breach of Peace
On the evening of 2024-06-23, police attended to a building in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue as a 21-year-old male, was intoxicated by drug, and repeatedly causing a disturbance while refusing to leave the property. The individual was lodged at BPS to prevent a continuation of public disturbances and will be released once sober.
Warrant
On 2024-06-24, police attended to a residence in the 2300 block of Brandon Avenue after receiving a report that a family member was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest, in addition to a court ordered condition prohibiting the consumption of alcohol or attending the address from which he was at. The accused has been lodged at BPS, and will appear in court 2024-06-24 for the Warrant and Failure to Comply with Undertaking X3.
Breach of Peace
On the morning of 2024-06-24, police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of 9th Street as a family member was causing a disturbance. A 64-year-old female was determined to be the cause of the problem and had caused damage to the property. The individual was lodged to prevent a continuation of problems and will be released from BPS at a later time.
