Gord Sayer and his friends Keith Anderson and Stephen Burton won $100,000 on the June 4 WESTERN MAX draw.
The Brandon coworkers have been playing the same numbers since 2019 and use it as an opportunity to connect regularly with one another. Sayer was the one to receive the call from Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) that the trio had won and couldn’t believe his ears.
“[When WCLC called] I thought, ‘This couldn’t be real!’” he laughed. “But it was! I checked my PlayNow account and sure enough we had won!”
Sayer said they’re all planning to use their equal shares of the $100,000 wisely.
“I’ll probably pay some bills and save the rest in the bank for the future,” he explained. “It just feels astounding to have won. Fantastic!”
The group purchased their WESTERN MAX ticket online through PlayNow.
