Carry Concealed Weapon, Theft Under $5000 and Resist Arrest
On July 23rd at 05:55 am Police were called to a residence on Kirkcaldy Drive for two unknown people attempting to gain entry. The incident was caught on the doorbell camera. Police also located five vehicles in the area that had been rummaged thru. While patrolling the area two individuals matching the description were observed and ran when they saw police. After a brief foot pursuit, a 12-year-old male and a 14-year-old male were apprehended. They were found with a backpack full of stolen property including identification and bank cards. The pair also had a machete and a pocketknife. They were both held for court on July 23rd, 2024.
Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
On July 23rd at 07:37am a 16-year-old male turned himself in to Brandon Police as he was aware he was wanted for failing to comply with his undertaking. The youth had failed to abide by his curfew the previous night. He was arrested and released for court on September 24th, 2024.
Failing to Comply with a Release Order
On July 23rd at 10:34am Officers observed a male outside of a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. A 32-year-old male was arrested as he was on a court order not to attend to that business. He was held for court on July 24th, 2024.
Theft Under $5000
On July 23rd at 10:29 am Police arrested a 39-year-old male in the 800 block of Princess Avenue for Theft under $5000. On July 22nd at 5:23 pm a business in the 1800 block of 18th Street north reported a male had run out the emergency exit with a $140 air purifier. The incident was captured on video surveillance and the accused was identified. He was released for court on September 23rd, 2024.
Arrest Warrants
-On July 23rd at 12:33 pm Police attended to a residence in the 100 block of Louise Avenue to arrest a female who was wanted for assaulting a police officer. A 23-year-old female was arrested and held for court on July 24th, 2024.
-On July 23rd at 5:25 pm a 44-year-old male attended to the Brandon Police Service as he was aware that he was wanted for uttering a forged document. He was arrested and released for court on August 26th, 2024.
Assault, Forcible Confinement and Take Motor Vehicle without Consent
On July 23rd at 04:42am Police received a call that a female had been assaulted at a residence in the 500 block of Braecrest Drive. Police located a 26-year-old female victim who said she had been struck in the face by a male known to her. The male allegedly did not allow the victim to leave the residence for several hours, and reportedly took her family member’s vehicle when he did leave. Officers say a 25-year-old male was located at a residence on Alaska Bay with the vehicle. He was arrested and held for court on July 24th, 2024.
