The United Way of Brandon & District has kicked off its 2024 fall campaign with the goal of raising $700,000.
In announcing the annual fundraiser at The Firehall Event Venue on Princess Avenue, campaign chair Barry Cooper said all of the money raised will stay in the community and none of it will be spent on operational expenses.
Money raised will go towards the United Way’s local programming like ‘Tools for Schools’ and ‘Coats for Kids’ that provide warm coats for children and school supplies.
The kick-off event also featured 14 teams from local organizations, including Pattison Media, taking part in the Road Tour Challenge scavenger hunt around the city.
