-The Lethbridge Hurricanes shutout the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-0 on Monday. Up next for Brandon, a double-header on home ice against the Regina Pats this weekend, starting on Friday night.
-The Winnipeg Jets are back in action tonight in New York against the Rangers.
-Canada’s Rachel Homan won the women’s curling final at the Co-op Canadian Open on Sunday beating Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni 7-5 . Scotland’s Bruce Mouat downed Canada’s Brad Gushue 6-3 in the men’s final.
-The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will play in their 5th straight Grey Cup game this Sunday when they face the Toronto Argonauts. Winnipeg beat Saskatchewan 38-22 last Saturday in the West Division final.
-and in the NFL Monday Night game – the Miami Dolphins topped the Los Angeles Rams 23-15.
