Arrest Warrant – Breach of Recognizance
On November 14th at 10:15AM police attended the 300 block of Louise Avenue to locate a 31-year-old male as there was an endorsed Warrant of Arrest. The male was located and later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date od November 19th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant – Failure to Attend Court
On November 14th at 12:40PM police attended the 1500 block of 3rd Street to locate a 34-year-old male as there was an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. The male was located, arrested, and held in detention cells with court in the morning on November 15th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant – Sexual Assault / Sexual Interference
On November 14th at 10:30AM police attended a hotel in the 1500 block of Highland Avenue. They located and arrested a 63-year-old male as there was an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. The male was located, arrested, and held in detention cells with court in the morning on November 15th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant – Failure to Attend Court / Assault
On November 14th at 1:35PM police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 700 block of 6th Street. A 38-year-old female was arrested on two unendorsed Warrants of Arrest and held in detention cells with court in the morning on November 15th, 2024.
Disobey Court Order
On Nov 2nd, it was reported that a 38-year-old male, bound by a court order not to attend the address and not to communicate with the kids unless supervised, was at a residence and talking to their kids while in the front yard in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. He turned himself in at BPS on November 14th, 2024, and was later release on an Appearance Notice with a court date of January 20th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply with Probation / Possession of a Weapon
On November 14th at 8:30PM, an employee from a store in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported that a shoplifter from the previous day was currently back in the store and was walking out with unpaid merchandise again. The 32-year-old female was located and arrested in the back alley between 9th and 10th street. She was in possession of $152 in meat, and a can of bear spray. She was also to abide by conditions not to attend the store. She was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of January 23rd, 2025.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On November 14th at 8:34PM police received a report of an intoxicated male sleeping in the lobby of a building in the 1000 block of Rosser Avenue. Police located the highly intoxicated 63-year-old male who was unable to care for himself. He was brought to BPS and held in detention cells until sober.
Structure Fire
On November 14th at 9:09PM 911 advised BPS of a fire in the 8000 block of Richmond Avenue East. Fire was determined to be a dryer in a separate building with no risk to the other main buildings. The fire produced lots of smoke but Brandon Fire and Emergency Services got it under control. Not deemed suspicious. No injuries.
