Further investigation into the discovery of two deceased adults, RCMP Major Crimes Services has deemed the investigation to be a double homicide.
The male and female victims were in a relationship.
Investigators believe this to be targeted and there is no danger to the public.
Portage la Prairie RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.

On December 1, 2024, at approximately 10:30 pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP were called to a residence on Oak Bay in Portage la Prairie.
Officers attended the address and located a 42-year-old male, and 37-year-old female deceased. At this time, there is no concern for public safety.
