-The Brandon Wheat Kings won their 3rd straight game on Saturday, 7-3 over the Prince Albert Raiders. The Wheat Kings play again this Saturday when they’ll visit the Raiders.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings lost their last home game before Christmas by a score of 3-0 to the Winnipeg Wild on Sunday. Brandon’s record drops to 19-4-0-2 on the season, but they remain in 1st place in the league. The Wheat Kings will play their next four games on the road with the 1st one coming this Wednesday as they travel to Souris to take on the Southwest Cougars
-The Winnipeg Jets dropped a 4-1 decision to the Blue Jackets on Sunday. The Jets are back in action tomorrow when they host the Boston Bruins.
-Megan Keller scored twice and the Boston Fleet downed New York 4-2 in the PWHL. Elm Creek’s Corinne Schroeder made 23 saves in net for the Sirens.
In the NFL – the Minnesota Vikings improved to 11-and-2 with a 42-21 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Tonight – the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Dallas Cowboys.
