-Kyle Connor netted a natural hat trick in the first period as the Winnipeg Jets beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-1. It’s the first time Winnipeg has secured two wins in a row since a four-game win streak in late December.
-The Brandon Wheat Kings return to the ice tonight in Victoria against the Royals. Brandon is looking to snap a two-game winless streak.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings are in action tonight at J&G Homes Arena where they’ll host the Yellowhead Chiefs. Brandon is in first place in the league with 52 points.
-In the Professional Women’s Hockey League – Toronto beat Ottawa 4-2.
-Briane Harris, who curls for Team Kerri Einarson, is now eligible to return to the sport after an absence of nearly a year. The Court of Arbitration for Sport found she bore “no fault or negligence” for an anti-doping rule violation last year.
