Environment Canada has issued a Blowing Snow Advisory for the Brandon region.
Poor visibility in blowing snow is expected Thursday night, along with very strong winds. Northwest winds gusting up to 80 km/h will combine with falling snow to cause poor visibility starting this afternoon or this evening.
Conditions will improve by Friday morning as winds weaken and snow tapers off.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
