Arrest Warrant
A male was spotted on the corner of 9th Street and Rosser who was known to have an endorsed Warrant for his arrest. (Failure to Attend Court X2 / Assault). The 40-year-old male was arrested and released via Appearance Notice with a court date of April 24th, 2024.
Assault
On March 9th Police were called to the 200 block of Pacific Avenue for a 15-year-old female who had been assaulted and was bleeding from the head. An investigation led to the arrest of a 15-year-old female alongside a 16-year-old female on March 25th who were charged with Assault. They were released on an Undertaking and Notice to Parents. A court date of May 27th, 2025, has been set.
Motor Vehicle Accident
On March 25th at 3:42PM a 911 call was received reporting a semi and car collision. The car, holding five occupants, was traveling east on Richmond Avenue when the collision occurred. All five were transported to Brandon Regional Health Centre and were in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing at this point. Charges pending after review of video / statements from witnesses.
Arrest Warrant / New Charges – Carry Concealed Weapon & Possession of a Weapon
Police were in the 600 block of Princess Avenue on March 25th at approximately 11:40AM, when a person’s check was conducted. It was confirmed the 50-year-old male had an endorsed Warrant for his arrest (Theft Under $5000). Upon arrest he was found to have a BB gun concealed in his pocket. He was released on an Undertaking/Appearance Notice with a court date of April 24th, 2025 (Warrant) and June 5th, 2025 (New charges).
Failure to Comply Undertaking
On March 25th at 2:59PM police attended a residence in the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue East where evidence was provided of contact between two brothers. A 22-year-old male was on Undertaking conditions not to communicate with his brother. Messages began on March 24th. Police located the male at his residence and arrested him. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of June 5th, 2025.
Domestic Assault
911 informed BPS of an Assault in progress at 7:28PM on March 25th. Police attended and found a 24-year-old female who had allegedly been assaulted by her intoxicated boyfriend, 25-year-old male. He had left the scene prior to Police arrival. The female did not require medical and will attend BPS March 26th to provide a statement. The incident was captured on video. The male was located at his address and the father was able to get the suspect to come to the door. He was arrested, transported to BPS, charged with Domestic Assault and released on an Undertaking. A court date is set for May 29th, 2025.
Disobey Court Order
On March 25th at 7:43PM a 42-year-old female reported that her ex was served a Protection Order (on March 25th), yet he has been texting which violates the order. The 40-year-old male was located by police and charged. He was released on an Appearance Notice.
Breach of Release Order X2 / Resist Arrest
Multiple calls came in at approximately 10:20PM on March 25th where a female was said to be entering yards and checking vehicles in the 1800 block of Richmond Avenue. Police located an intoxicated female matching the description given. When the female was approached, she attempted to run away. The 17-year-old female was caught and found to be breaching her court orders (Abstain and Curfew). She was medically cleared and held in detention cells for court in the morning on March 26th, 2025.
Mischief Under $5000
On March 26th at 1:04AM a call came in regarding a home being egged in Confederation Bay by a known to them suspect. Police attended and located the 26-year-old male. He was arrested, transported to BPS and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of June 5th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On March 26th at 4:14AM Police conducted a persons check with a 26-year-old male who was walking in the 600 block of 10th Street. It was confirmed the male had a Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Probation). He was arrested and released on scene on an Appearance Notice with a court date of April 24th, 2025.
