We’re still expecting another wallop of winter this week. A storm system that could possibly dump up to 20 cm of heavy snow on Brandon is to arrive this afternoon and end overnight Friday. Expect travel to become more dangerous as the snow piles-up and visibilities are reduced. The Parkland region will likely get the most snow.

U-S President Donald Trump is threatening large tariffs on the European Union and Canada if they work together to do economic harm to the U.S. In a social media today, Trump says the tariffs would be “far larger than currently planned.” Starting next week, Trump plans to impose 25% tariffs on all automobile imports to the U-S.

Most training is done in Winnipeg and Brandon, and a solution is to expand training to smaller centres to keep workers closer to home. The province says it’s open to the idea.
