-A huge win for the Brandon Wheat Kings Wednesday night. They beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-4 to stay alive in their first-round playoff series. Game 5 goes Friday night in Lethbridge. The Hurricanes lead the series 3-games-to- 1.
-The Winnipeg Jets return to the ice tonight in Las Vegas against the Golden Knights.
-In the PWHL – Boston blanked Ottawa 4-0.
-Canada is now in first place at the World Men’s Curling Championship at 7-and-1. Canada plays China and Switzerland today, who are both tied for second with Scotland.
-The Toronto Blue Jays swept their 3-game series against the Washington Nationals with a 4-2 win on Wednesday. The Jays open a series in New York against The Mets on Friday afternoon.
-Stewart Johnston is the new CFL commissioner. He takes over from Randy Ambrose who’s retiring. Johnston served as president of TSN since 2010.
