Whether you’re shopping for your mom, grandma, mother-in-law, or some other important mother in your life, time is running out for Mother’s Day purchases. The thing is, shopping for moms can be challenging, and as the holiday gets closer, it may feel easier to buy what’s convenient, not meaningful.
But before you add that “World’s Best Mom” mug to your shopping cart or get her yet another set of bath bombs from the drugstore, a new survey points out what NOT to buy.
- It talks to more than 25-hundred real moms and their kids to find out which Mother’s Day gifts are truly terrible, and what moms actually want instead.
- The survey also finds that more than half (52%) admit they’ve forgotten Mother’s Day before.
- To make it right at the last-minute, 35% gave cash and 31% offered a big hug, while 19% had a long, heartfelt talk on the phone and 16% created handmade IOU cards.
