Obstructs Traffic
On May 19th at 9:50AM a male was observed walking on 18th St North wandering in both lanes of traffic with a blanket over his head. Police arrested the 35-year-old male to prevent the continuation of dangerous behavior. The male was held in detention cells to be released with a ticket.
Breach of Probation / Theft Under $5000
On May 19th at 2:17PM a shoplifter in action was reported at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Police located and arrested the 30-year-old female who had stolen approximately $65 worth of merchandise. The female was on conditions not to attend the store. She was released on Undertaking with a court date of July 28th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On May 19th at 2:17PM while at the same business as noted above, an additional person was found to be shoplifting ($195 in value). The highly intoxicated 23-year-old female was arrested and held in detention cells. She will be released once sober on Undertaking with a court date of July 28th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant / New Charge – Possession of a Weapon
On May 19th at 2:38PM Police located a 38-year-old male in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue who had a Warrant for his Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). The male was arrested, and search incidental located a knife concealed in a hoodie. The male was arrested and held for court on May 20th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On May 19th at 3:24PM a 13-year-old male turned himself in to BPS on the strength of his Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Probation). The male youth was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of June 10th, 2025.
Arrest Warrant / New Charge
On May 19th at 5:55PM a female was dropped off at BPS and passed out in the front vestibule. The 37-year-old female had an Unendorsed Warrant for Arrest and was bound by a Release Order clause not to consume. Due to intoxication levels, she was transported by EMS to Brandon Hospital.
The woman was later held in detention cells at BPS for court in the morning on May 20th, 2025. Her previous charges include Manslaughter from Manitoba First Nations Police and Failure to Comply Release Order from Winnipeg Police Service. New Charge – Failure to Comply Release Order.
Disobey Court Order
On May 9th it was reported a 30-year-old male had breached his No contact order by texting a female multiple times between the dates of April 16th and May 15th, 2025. On May 19th at 8:36PM Police observed the male operating a vehicle and conducted a vehicle stop. The male was arrested and released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of July 14th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On May 9th Police received a report of a $890 theft from a store in Corral Centre. Video surveillance led to a 40-year-old male being identified as the one responsible. The male is currently in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC). BPS members attended BCC and charged the male. He will attend court in the morning on May 20th, 2025.
Failure to Comply with Release Order X2
On May 20th at 12:04AM Police conducted a curfew check on a 28-year-old male and found that he was not home. At 1:28AM the male contacted BPS to inform that he had been out fishing. He was located and arrested. The male was on Release Order conditions not to have any third-party applications on his phone capable of encrypted communication – however, his phone was found to have numerous communication apps. He was charged accordingly and held in detention cells for court in the morning on May 20th, 2025.
