Pembina Valley RCMP respond to fatal motor vehicle collision
On May 26, 2025, at approximately 6:15 am, Carman and Manitou RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Road 5 North and Road 25 West in the RM of Stanley.
When officers arrived, the local Fire department and EMS were already on scene.
Two SUVs were in the south ditch, the lone driver of one of the vehicles, a 41-year-old man from Morden, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other SUV, a 64-year-old male from the RM of Stanley, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The initial investigation shows the 64-year-old driver was travelling eastbound on Road 5 North when he collided with the other SUV which was travelling southbound on Road 25 West. There was no stop sign in either direction.
Pembina Valley RCMP, along with RCMP Traffic Analyst and Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) continue to investigate.
