In a gesture of solidarity and community support, Dauphin’s Countryfest is opening its doors to individuals and families from Manitoba, Creighton, and Denare Beach displaced by the recent wildfires.
In a social media post today, organizers say “the festival will offer complimentary general admission tickets, camping, and parking to evacuees, providing a weekend of entertainment and respite during this challenging time.”
“We recognize the immense hardship faced by those displaced from their homes,” said Duane McMaster, President of Dauphin’s Countryfest. “We hope that a weekend at Countryfest will provide a brief escape and a chance to create positive memories during this difficult period. It’s our way of saying thank you for the support we’ve received and extending a helping hand.”
Evacuees wishing to attend Dauphin’s Countryfest are asked to call the office at 204-622-3700 to register. Please note that only a limited amount of general admission tickets, camping and parking passes are available for this initiative, so interested individuals are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible.
