-The Toronto BLue Jays winning streak has ended at 10 games. They lost 2-1 to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. Next up for the Blue Jays is a visit to West Sacramento, California to play the Athletics on Friday.
-In the Southwest Baseball League Playoffs – the Boissevain Centennials beat the Wawanesa Brewers 8-0 to win their Best-of-3 series 2-0.
-Tyrone Jones, one of the CFL’s greatest pass rushers, is getting his name posthumously added to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Ring of Honour. Jones, who died in 2008 at the age of 46 of brain cancer, was a 4-time CFL all-star, 5-time division all star and two time Grey Cup champ. He still holds the Bombers’ career sack record at 98.
