We know that Gen X parents were the first latcheky kids, very intentional about being involved. We also know that millennial parents are all for gentle parenting. So, what about Gen Z parents? New research from Kiddie Academy – which spoke to 2,000 parents of kids aged 0 to 6 – found that they’re making their own hybrid parenting style.
When it came to Gen Z parents, according to the survey:
- About 38% use gentle parenting
- 37% are using cycle breaking (or healing generational trauma)
- 33% are using attachment parenting (or forming strong emotional bonds)
- 31% are prioritizing cause and effect (or real-world consequences)
- 20% are using child-led parenting
