A $32-Million dollar land development deal near the Winnipeg airport was announced Friday; to draw investment, jobs and housing. The Winnipeg Airports Authority is spending $17 million, Canada-$10 million and Manitoba -$5 million to help develop 127 acres of direct-access runway lands, next to the Wpg airport. The hope is that, once completed, the land will attract tenants in the aviation, distribution and manufacturing sectors.

Gen Z Canadians are drinking less than older generations; but they’re using more nicotine products. A recent insurance report found that Canadians between the ages of 18 and 29 drink the least of any generation, with less than 1-per cent reporting they drank daily. “PolicyMe” says this was in contrast to the age group over 60, in which; almost 5-per cent said; they drink daily. Gen Zer’s had the highest reported daily use of nicotine products (7.3 per cent) of any age group; by vaping, e-cigarettes, traditional cigarettes and products like chewing tobacco.

A total lunar eclipse will occur on March 3, and will be seen across most of Canada. In the early morning hours Tuesday; , the moon will glide through Earth’s shadow, producing a total lunar eclipse. But what you see depends on where you are. In Western Canada, the entire eclipse will be visible, while in the Prairie provinces it won’t be seen it in its entirety, as the moon will have set in the west during the event.
