Two nights remain on the NHL schedule, and we are closer to clarity on the first round matchups after the slate of games yesterday night. The Boston Bruins locked in a first-round matchup with the Buffalo Sabres after a win over New Jersey, while the Montreal Canadiens locked themselves in as a road team in their first round series with Tampa Bay after their loss to Philadelphia. There are six games on the NHL schedule tonight, including one in which the Vegas Golden Knights could lock up a Pacific Division title with a win over the Seattle Kraken.
The Toronto Blue Jays started off their series with the Milwaukee Brewers on a winning note, taking a 9-7 victory last night. They’re back in action tonight for game two of the series at 6:40.
Could the Toronto Blue Jays soon have company? If Vancouver mayor Ken Sim gets his way, Vancouver will soon try to bring a major league baseball franchise to the city. Sim says at the next council meeting on April 22, he will table a motion directing the city to search for a viable ownership group.
Starting on Friday, the Virden Oil Capitals will face the Niverville Nighthawks in the MJHL’s Turnbull Cup final. Whoever wins will take their first championship in franchise history.
