Jimmy Kimmel To Air Re-Run On Night Of Stephen Colbert’s Final Show Out Of “Respect”

In a show of solidarity and respect, on the night the final episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs (May 21), “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will air a re-run in its regular time slot. Kimmel did the same thing eleven years ago for David Letterman’s final show on CBS’s “The Late Show.” While Colbert and Kimmel are competitors, they are also friends; Kimmel was a guest on last night’s show, and during the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023, they joined with John Oliver, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon to create the “Strike Force Five” podcast.
