The Colorado Avalanche have pushed the Minnesota Wild to the brink after a 5-2 victory in Minnesota last night. Parker Kelly scored what proved to the game-winning goal in the third period. The Avs lead the series 3-1 and will return to Colorado for game five on Wednesday night.
Two more teams could move their opponents to the brink of elimination in the NHL tonight, with the Montreal Canadiens hosting the Buffalo Sabres and holding the 2-1 series lead and the Anaheim Ducks and Vegas Golden Knights meeting in Vegas for a pivotal game five. The Habs and Sabres start at 6:00 Central Time, while the Golden Knights and Ducks go at 8:30.
The bats were working both ways between the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays but those of the Rays worked just a little harder as they beat the Jays 8-5 last night. The rematch goes this evening in Toronto at 6:07.
