Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, eight individuals were arrested on outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Three were held in custody for a court appearance in the morning, while the other five were released on Appearance Notices with a future court dates.
Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace, while an additional two individuals, who were highly intoxicated, were taken into custody under the Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA). All will be released once sober.
Motor Vehicle Collision – Fires
On June 5th at 2:24 a.m., a resident on Elviss Crescent reported that a vehicle had collided with the rear of their parked vehicle. Following the collision, both vehicles caught fire. A third parked vehicle was also struck during the incident. Brandon Police officers and Brandon Fire & Emergency Services attended the scene. Officers administered an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test to the driver of the moving vehicle, who provided a zero reading. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and no injuries were reported. Members of Brandon Fire & Emergency Services extinguished the fires. All vehicle owners were spoken with and the involved vehicles were subsequently towed from the scene.
Break & Enter
On June 4th at 9:53 p.m., a realtor reported that new homeowners on Russell Street were driving past a property they had purchased, but had not yet taken possession of, when they noticed someone inside the residence. The previous owners had already vacated the home and advised that no one should be inside, granting the future homeowner’s permission to enter and check the property. Upon entering, they noticed various items then located a male inside who stated he had just had a shower and indicated that he had been told he was allowed to be in the residence from the owners. The male left the property prior to police arrival. Based on the evidence, it appeared he had been squatting in the home.

Utter Threats
On April 9th, 2026, a report had been made on a 23-year-old male for having uttered threats. The male was arrested on June 4th at Brandon Courthouse while awaiting appearance on other charges. The male is in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre and will attend court on these charges in the morning.
