The Shamrock Centre in Killarney marked a major milestone last week as the community celebrated its selection as the 2026 Manitoba winner of Growing Home with BASF. Residents gathered for a lively morning event where BASF presented the organization with a $25,000 cheque to support long‑needed repairs to its ice plant — a key piece of infrastructure that keeps local hockey, figure skating and curling programs running year‑round.
Kasia Kistelski, Communications Manager with BASF, said the day reflected the spirit of the program and the community it aims to support. “It was a wonderful celebration last week with the Shamrock Centre, the 2026 Manitoba winner of Growing Home with BASF,” she said.
The Shamrock Centre, which offers year‑round activities for families, says the funding will help ensure the facility remains a hub for recreation and connection in Killarney.
