Neepawa’s award‑winning Amazing Race returns Saturday, July 18, offering a free, family‑friendly challenge that sends teams to more than 20 stops across the community. Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event is open to participants of any age or group size, with teams starting and finishing at ArtsForward on Mountain Avenue. Passports can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and a free barbecue will greet racers at the finish line.
Teams that register online by July 12 will receive an Express Pass, giving them a head start on the day’s challenges. The event earned Tourism Westman’s 2026 Event of the Year award in the under‑$10,000 category after drawing 39 teams and roughly 1,000 visitors last summer. Organizers say the race blends public art, local business engagement, and cultural exploration, helping residents and newcomers connect in creative ways.
Past challenges have included karaoke at a Filipino restaurant, reflecting Neepawa’s diverse population and the community‑building focus behind the race. ArtsForward, which also offers year‑round programs in arts, culture, health, music, and language, sees the event as one of many ways to showcase Neepawa’s spirit and strengthen ties in a town where nearly half of residents have Filipino roots.
