The tool arrives as producers continue to face a challenging operating environment marked by volatile commodity markets, rising input costs and unpredictable weather. FCC says CropPlan+ allows farmers to test different crop plans before the growing season begins, helping them understand how changes in yields, prices and expenses could affect profitability.
“Canadian producers are among the best in the world at what they do and their tools should match that,” said Mohamad Yaghi, FCC Vice-President of Innovation Hub and AgExpert.
According to FCC, CropPlan+ was developed in collaboration with producers and is intended to simplify planning while giving farmers greater confidence in key business decisions. By drawing on a farm’s own historical information, the platform aims to provide more accurate, operation-specific insights when evaluating cropping scenarios.
FCC says the feature is designed to help producers make quicker and more informed decisions as they navigate increasingly complex production and market conditions.
How CropPlan+ Works
CropPlan+ is integrated into AgExpert Field Premium and allows producers to compare multiple cropping scenarios using historical farm records. Users can model the impact of changing crop mixes, yields, market prices and input costs to see how different decisions may affect projected revenue.
FCC says the planning tool is intended to provide producers with a practical way to evaluate options before making planting decisions, helping reduce uncertainty and improve confidence in long-term farm planning.
