Marvel Studios made a triumphant return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, revealing an exciting movie roadmap. Headlining the showcase was the official confirmation of a solo MCU “Ghost Rider” movie, alongside revealing some a major casting announcement for “Black Panther 3.” Meanwhile, attendees were treated to a hilarious crashing of the stage by fan-favorite character Deadpool.

- Ryan Gosling is Ghost Rider: Ryan Gosling is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider in a standalone film scheduled for release in 2028. The project teams Gosling with “Deadpool & Wolverine” director Shawn Levy, who recently worked with Gosling on their upcoming “Star Wars: Starfighter” movie.
- “Black Panther 3” Sets Date & New Lead: Director Ryan Coogler officially confirmed “Black Panther 3” is hitting theaters on December 15, 2028. David Jonsson (”Alien: Romulus”) joined the stage as well, revealed to be the franchise’s new lead playing an adult T’Challa Jr., the son of T’Challa. Letitia Wright and Winston Duke also return.
- “Deadpool” & “Avengers: Doomsday” Teases: Ryan Reynolds surprised the crowd by crashing the panel in a new gray Deadpool suit to joke around with Robert Downey Jr. and tease a possible appearance in “Avengers: Doomsday.” Exclusive footage shown to the audience highlighted Victor Von Doom’s tragic past connection to Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Hayley Atwell was also confirmed to return as Peggy Carter.
- “Avengers: Endgame” Theatrical Re-Release: Kevin Feige announced that “Avengers: Endgame” is returning to theaters starting September 25th for a limited encore run. The special theatrical re-release will feature previously unseen bonus footage specifically to help set up the events of “Avengers: Doomsday.”
