Minnedosa RCMP have arrested a 14-year-old male youth after an incident which saw a stolen truck driven int a home and starting a fire, RCMP said.
According to police, they were called to a home in Rapid City at about 9:45 PM on July 29. When they arrived at the scene, they learned the truck had crashed into a garage, causing a small fire underneath the vehicle and a hydro wire to fall. The homeowner was inside the home when the collision occurred and was unhurt. The occupants of the truck fled the scene.
Police allege they found one of the suspects at a nearby residence minutes later and arrested him. The 14-year-old male youth faces a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
RCMP added that another youth suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
