In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. They will be released once sober.
Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, four individuals were arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act. All four were brought to BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, four individuals were arrested on their outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Three were later released via Appearance Notices with future court dates. One individual was held for court in the morning on September 18th, 2026.
Domestic Assault x2 / Forcible Confinement / Assault by Choking
On September 17th at 12:38 p.m., BPS officers responded to a report of an active assault at a residence in the 300 block of 18th Street. Officers learned a 41-year-old male had assaulted a 35-year-old female. During the investigation, police also determined that an additional assault involving the same parties had occurred the previous week. The 41-year-old sober male was arrested without incident and brought to BPS detention cells. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2026.
