Taylor Swift is expanding “The Life of a Showgirl” with a new deluxe edition, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” featuring four new songs: the previously announced “Patient Zero” as well as “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” The tracks were written with Max Martin and Shellback during a celebratory trip to Sweden after the album’s record-breaking debut. In a post to social media, Taylor said the songs were “born out of pure gratitude” for fans’ support. She had previously teased the project with the phrase “Patient for the encore” hidden on the side of the frame in her “Opalite” video, and hidden clues during an Emmys sketch. The expanded album arrives on streaming services Friday, though no physical release has been announced at this time. Check out the announcement on the right.
