On January 17, 2022, at approximately 12:00 pm, Brandon police conducted a traffic stop in the area of 16th Street and Van Horne Avenue. Police say the investigation into the occupants and the contents of the vehicle led police to obtain a search warrant to a residence in the 600 block of 20th Street. Police allegedly found 2 ounces of Meth, a large quantity of unknown pills, Canadian currency, two cans of bear mace, and a stun gun following the search of the vehicle and the residence. Three occupants of the vehicle were arrested and face charges.
The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old woman reportedly did not have a valid drivers licence. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be release to appear in court on March 10, 2022 on charges of Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Possess Prohibited Weapon.
A 31-year-old female passenger of the vehicle initially produced identification that police say was stolen from another individual in Winnipeg. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released to appear in court on March 10, 2022 on charges of Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Possess Prohibited Weapon.
Another passenger in the vehicle, a 27-year-old woman, was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for fail to attend court. She was arrested and later release to appear in court on March 10, 2022 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

On January 18, 2022, police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence at approximately 1:00 am. Police say that following a fight between two individuals in which both parties assaulted one another, one suspect, a 42-year-old woman, followed the other individual out of the residence and allegedly stabbed him. The 43-year-old male victim of the stab wound received medical treatment and has since been released from the hospital. Both suspects were arrested and are to appear in court today (Jan 18). The man faces charges of Assault and UtteringThreats, and the woman is to appear on charges of Assault with a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

On January 16, 2022, Brandon police attended to a residence shortly before 9:00 pm following a report of an assault. The suspect fled the residence prior to police arrival. The victim received medical treatment for minor injuries. On January 17, 2022, police located and arrested a 42-year-old man who appeared in court later that day on a charge of Assault.

On January 17, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence shortly after 9:00 am. A 42-year-old man was allegedly threatening to kill others in the home and behaving erratically. Police arrested the suspect without incident. He will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Uttering Threats.

On January 17, 2022, at approximately 5:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of a female who was allegedly behaving erratically in a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. A 37-year-old woman was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent her behavior from escalating.

On January 17, 2022, police responded to a 47-year-old man sleeping in the common area of an apartment building in the 200 block of 15th Street. He was allegedly intoxicated and unable to care for himself with nowhere else to stay. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On January 18, 2022 shortly before 6:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a business in the 700 block of 10th Street. A woman in the business allegedly began throwing bananas when she became upset, before fleeing. Police located and arrested a 29-year-old woman who they say was also wanted on an outstanding charge of Failing to Attend Court. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today (Jan 18).
On January 18, 2022, police located and arrested a 20-year-old woman who was wanted on outstanding charges of Break & Enter, and Theft. She was later released to appear in court on March 4, 2022.
On January 17, 2022, a 33-year-old man attended Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of outstanding charges of Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation for his arrest. He was later released to appear in court on a later date.
