On May 25, 2022 at approximately 2:00 pm, Brandon police report that members of the Organized Crime Section and the Crime Suppression Section conducted two search warrants at residences in the 600 block of 16th Street, and in the 400 block of 5th Street following an investigation into drug trafficking. Police allegedly seized cash, an ounce of meth, a .117-caliber BB rifle and drug trafficking paraphernalia from the residence on 16th street. A 24-year-old man was stopped in a vehicle and arrested as he left the residence. He was later released to appear in court on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Fail to Comply with Release Order X3. Two other individuals were arrested in this residence and released without charges.
From the second location, Brandon police say they located and seized a loaded .22 caliber rifle that had been reported stolen out of Ontario. They also allegedly seized several hundred opioid pills, a small amount of Meth, drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, two conducted energy weapons, and a variety of ammunition. Arrested in connection with this residence was a 39-year-old female. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, and on outstanding warrant charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Fail to Attend Court.
-A 59-year-old male was arrested and later released. He will appear in court on July 18, 2022 on numerous firearm related offences.
-A 55-year-old male was also arrested and later released. He will appear in court on July 21, 2022 on numerous firearm related offences and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
-A 30-year-old male who was also located in the residence was arrested on outstanding charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm. He was released to appear in court at a later date.

On May 25, 2022, shortly before 12:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of an assault at a residence. Police say a 33-year-old male suspect allegedly punched the individual who was evicting him from the residence. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect reportedly left the residence in a taxi, but he was later located and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Assault.

On May 25, 2022, at 3:43 pm, police responded to a report of a snowmobile that had just been stolen with the trailer it was on, from the 1600 block of 13th Street. A witness told police the suspects drove the stolen items south of Brandon. Police recovered both the trailer and the snowmobile, just south of Brandon on Road 53 N as the suspects had unhitched the items and left them. The suspects were believed to have been driving a white Ford F250. On May 26, 2022, police came across a parked vehicle, which had been reported stolen out or Winnipeg. It was parked in the 1700 block of Middleton Avenue. The white 2017 Ford F250 truck with ACS Roofing Decals had reportedly been stolen from rural Brandon area on May 18, 2022. On May 25, 2022, shortly after 11:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of a male who was seen breaking into a vacant building in the 1000 block of 1st Street N. A 52-year-old man was located and arrested inside the building. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On May 26, 2022, shortly after 1:00 am, police responded to a report of two individuals fighting near the 800 block of McTavish Avenue. Police say a 24-year-old woman, who they believe was intoxicated, allegedly caused the issues. Police say she was in no condition to care for herself and was lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent her behavior from escalating.

On May 26, 2022, at 1:40 am, Brandon police received a report of a business alarm in the 1900 block of 49th Street E. When members arrived, investigation revealed that a door had been pried open. The suspect had fled prior to police arrival. It is unknown if anything was taken.
